Personal Information Protection Policy

Ubiquitous Computing Technology Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “UC Technology”) recognizes the importance of showing the norms for the proper handling of personal information as a company that contributes to society in promoting our businesses such as the construction of IoT application systems, solution provision, and content production.

Recognizing the importance of handling personal information appropriately, UC Technology has stipulated personal information protection policy. All executives and employees of UC Technology will work together to comply with the policy and strive for the protection of personal information and the protection of individual rights and interests.

  1. UC Technology will specify the purpose of using personal information as much as possible and collect personal information to the extent necessary to achieve.
  2. When personal information is acquired in a document from an individual, UC Technology will notify the individual of the business operator name, personal information protection manager name, contact information, and purpose of its use, then collect personal information to the extent necessary for the stated purpose.
  3. UC Technology will utilize personal information solely for the intended purpose(s) upon prior consent from an individual. UC Technology will also establish and implement appropriate measures to prevent the unintended use of such information.
  4. UC technology will maintain collected personal information under the appropriate management and will not disclose the information to third parties without the consent of the individual from whom the personal information was obtained.
  5. UC Technology will maintain accurate and current personal information for the intended purpose and take appropriate security measures to prevent the disclosure, loss, or damage of personal information.
  6. When outsourcing the handling of personal information to external partners, UC Technology will manage those partners to include, but not limited to, the execution of an agreement forbidding the disclosure or distribution of personal information to third parties.
  7. The inquiry desk for personal information will respond to an individual’s complaints and inquiries concerning the personal information UC Technology holds.
  8. UC Technology will comply with regulations, guidelines, and other norms stipulated by the Japanese government regarding the handling of personal information.
  9. UC Technology will establish a personal information protection management system and conduct regular reviews for continuous improvement.

UC Technology is granted to display PrivacyMark by JIPDEC, Japan Institute for Promotion of Digital Economy and Community.

PrivacyMark is given to enterprises with an appropriate personal information protection system that is compliant with Japan Industrial Standards (JIS Q 15001: [Personal Information Protection Management System – Requirements]).
