Press Release

We will attend “2021 TRON Symposium -TRONSHOW-.”

Ubiquitous Computing Technology Corporation (UCT) will attend the “2021 TRON Symposium -TRONSHOW-” which will be held for three days from December 8, 2021 (Wed.).

The 37th annual TRON Symposium will feature exhibitions and technical presentations from companies and research groups at the forefront of the IoT, embedded systems, and AI. We will exhibit Smart Building-related products/services and case studies, IoT-Engine Development Kit compatible with microcomputers from multiple sources, and UCT µT-Kernel 2.0. Additionally, applications for tourism and regional information utilizing our platform, “kokosil,” will be displayed.

On December 9 (Thu.), Tatsushi Morokuma, CEO and President of UCT, will give a presentation at a session, “Latest Development of ‘µT-Kernel,’ Global Standard RTOS for IoT Edge Nodes ― Support for Heterogeneous Multi-Core Processors.” The session will discuss asymmetric multiprocessing then explore the application and potential use for the latest µT-Kernel and IoT technology. Morokuma will talk about the application and possible services for Smart Buildings.

On the final day (December 10, Fri.), Tatsushi Morokuma (CEO and President of UCT), Acting Chair of TRON Forum Quasi-Zenith Satellite WG, will serve as a coordinator for the session, “Technology Session: Technologies that Use Location/Position Information and the Latest Application Examples.” Here, the latest technologies of positioning and location-based information systems will be introduced primarily in the three areas. These technologies are currently being used for the Aerospace, Smart Buildings, and Regional Information service fields:

Aerospace: Quasi-Zenith Satellite System, “Michibiki”
This is a highly accurate satellite positioning technology with centimeter-level augmentation.
Smart Buildings: They can utilize these applications of positioning information.
Regional Information Platform: Our platform, “kokosil,” applies location information.

The sessions introduced here will be conducted in Japanese. You can find other sessions with simultaneous translation in English on the “2021 TRON Symposium -TRONSHOW-” website.
