kokosil can distribute information about public transportation services and related facilities. UC Technology has conducted various demonstration experiments using the platform. Here are some such use cases and demonstration experiments that have been conducted to date.
Example 1. : Public Transport Facility Guides- such as train stations and airports

Example 2. : “Omotenashi (Hospitality) Service Demonstration Experiment”
Information Service Experiment Utilizing Personal Data
As part of “The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ Fiscal 2018 Project,” we conducted an experiment to confirm the effectiveness of the information service system utilizing “IoT Hospitality (Omotenashi) Cloud” and individual attributes (personal data) registered in the cloud. It manages personal data and controls access to it.
The participants experienced various coordinated services through their registered information (individual attributes, preferred language, etc.) via the common cloud platform using smartphones, transportation IC cards, and digital signage.
Digital Point Shopping Experiment
As part of “The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ Fiscal 2018 Project,” we conducted an experiment to demonstrate the function of digital point shopping utilizing the collaboration of the following two factors: 1. the linkage between “OPaaS.io” that manages individuals’ attributes (personal data) and wireless LAN authentication, 2. kokosil local area point service system.
The experiment was implemented with the cooperation of YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory, Nippon Travel Agency Co., Ltd., Nichiryo Business Create Co., Ltd., and Tri Works Co., Ltd.
The participants registered their personal data and successfully experienced shopping using their smartphones with the digital points in shopping districts.
