About T-Kernel 2.0 AeroSpace (T2AS)
The YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory developed “T-Kernel 2.0 AeroSpace (T2AS),” a highly reliable RTOS based on T-Kernel 2.0, for the aerospace field. The following aerospace specialized functions are incorporated into T2AS which is based on the latest TRON specification OS, “T-Kernel 2.0”:
- high-precision time management function with physical timer function
- memory protection function that does not affect the processing speed
Please note that the memory protection function may not be supported by some CPUs. - deletable and reconfigurable OS functions to reduce memory usage and to improve operational security
The Japanese specification of T2AS has been published in the member-only area of the TRON Forum website.
UC Technology ports this T2AS to various CPUs.

SH72544R T-Kernel 2.0 AeroSpace Evaluation Kit
T-Kernel 2.0 Aerospace (T2AS) has been ported to “SH72544R,” an automotive microcontroller from Renesas Electronics Corporation.
The evaluation of T2AS is possible using the evaluation kit that includes an evaluation board with SH725R.
■SH72544R
SH72544R is a microcontroller for automotive engine control used by manufacturers worldwide. It has also been marketed to the aerospace field. The following are the features of SH725446:
- high reliability: Globally employed by automotive manufacturers for engine control with ECC-protected memory
- high functionality: 200 MHz operating frequency, ROM 2.5 MB/RAM 128 KB
- wide operating temperature range: Ta = − 40 to 125°C
- low-power consumption: 170 mA (Typ. @200MHz)
■Evaluation Board
This target board comes with SH72544R, an automotive microcontroller from Renesas Electronics Corporation.
You can evaluate T2AS and develop application software on it.
